Glasgow, 1802"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>For more than forty years, the 1802 edition of Robert Burns\u2019s <em>Letters Addressed to Clarinda<\/em> provided the only record of his correspondence with Mrs. Agnes M\u2019Lehose (\u201cClarinda\u201d). It was from the letters printed here that Burns\u2019 early biographers first told the story of the Sylvander\u2013Clarinda relationship.<\/p>\n<p>This facsimile has been scanned from one of the three copies of the original edition in the G. Ross Roy Collection. Some additional pages with material drawn from manuscript letters in the the collection have been added.
